Vigorous Tenderness: a summer solstice concert
Sunday, June 20th, 4-5:30pm
Two Lights State Park, Cape Elizabeth
sliding scale donation, no advanced tickets required
Celebrate the solstice and our season finale with chamber music and seascapes.
Vigorous Tenderness is an experimental outdoor concert series that brings audiences to meaningful outdoor spaces and invites them to re-engage safely with acoustic sound. These immersive performances resemble an art museum experience, with chamber music in harmony with the landscape as the audience follows a path of listening and reflection.
We are committed to amplifying the voices of POC and queer composers, and highlighting some of Maine's most thoughtful musicians.
Please arrive between 4 and 5pm, and move through the installation at your own pace.
Sliding scale donations are welcomed: $0-100 per person
Cash and venmo accepted, everything goes to the musicians and to sustaining future concerts.
Parking at Two Lights is extremely limited. Please carpool or bike and stagger your arrivals; the gates will close once the parking lot reaches capacity.
People of all ages are welcome, this is a family friendly event.
